Our Works

Every project tells its own story - from fortress-like residential estates to revived gothic sanctuaries. We've spent years translating medieval grandeur into spaces people actually live and work in. Take a look at what we've been up to.

We don't do cookie-cutter designs. Each build here represents months of research, sketching on napkins at 2am, arguments over stonework details, and collaboration with craftspeople who actually get what we're trying to achieve. Some projects pushed us to our limits - in the best way possible.

Blackthorn Manor

Blackthorn Manor

Whistler, BC - 2024

This one was wild. Client wanted a full-on medieval fortress vibe but with floor-to-ceiling windows and smart home tech. We pulled it off with locally-sourced granite, custom ironwork from a blacksmith in Squamish, and a turret that doubles as a home office. The stone masonry alone took six months.

Contemporary Castle Residential
St. Aidan's Chapel Restoration

St. Aidan's Chapel

Victoria, BC - 2023

1890s chapel that'd been sitting empty for years. Heritage folks were super strict about what we could touch, which honestly made it more interesting. Restored the original timber roof trusses, rebuilt the stone buttresses using period techniques, and man, finding artisans who could replicate Victorian-era stained glass was a journey.

Ravencrest Tower

Ravencrest Tower

Gulf Islands, BC - 2022

Three-story tower residence on a cliff overlooking the water. Client's a history professor obsessed with Scottish tower houses. We adapted the defensive architecture concept but added massive windows on the sea-facing side. Spiral staircase was hand-carved from local Douglas fir.

Tower Design
Thornfield Library

Thornfield Library

Vancouver, BC - 2024

Private library addition that feels like you've stepped into a medieval monastery. Ribbed vaulting, custom oak shelving that goes up 20 feet, and hidden LED lighting in the grooves. The owner wanted it dark and moody but still functional for reading - we nailed that balance.

Interior Design Residential Addition
Elderwood Estate

Elderwood Estate

Kelowna, BC - 2023

8,000 square foot manor that looks like it's been standing for centuries. We used reclaimed stone from a demolished 1920s bank in Alberta, mixed with new basalt. Gothic arched windows throughout, but the real showstopper's the great hall with hammer-beam ceiling inspired by Westminster Hall. Took almost two years start to finish.

Gothic Revival Luxury Residential Estate Design
Greystone Courtyard

Greystone Courtyard

North Vancouver, BC - 2023

Transformed a bland suburban backyard into an enclosed medieval courtyard. Stone archways, cobblestone paving, and a central fountain. Neighbors thought we were nuts until they saw the finished product. Now everyone wants one.

Landscape Architecture
Irongate Mills Conversion

Irongate Mills

New Westminster, BC - 2022

Converted an 1880s mill building into mixed-use space. Kept all the original stone walls and timber beams, added modern interventions in steel and glass that respect the heritage bones. The contrast works surprisingly well - old and new having a conversation rather than fighting each other.

Wren's Hollow Cottage

Wren's Hollow

Bowen Island, BC - 2024

Compact stone cottage that proves you don't need massive square footage to make an impact. Steep gabled roof, leaded glass windows, and a chimney that's probably oversized for the building but looks perfect. It's like a storybook illustration come to life.

Small Residential
Dragonkeep Wine Cellar

Dragonkeep Cellar

Okanagan Valley, BC - 2023

Underground wine cellar for a vineyard that wanted something more dramatic than the usual boring concrete box. Barrel-vaulted stone ceiling, wrought-iron gates, flickering LED candelabras. Holds 3,000 bottles and feels like you're in a castle dungeon - but in a good way.
